Established in 2017, the Student Comparative and European Law Review (SCELR) is an international initiative of ELSA Ireland and ELSA United Kingdom which publishes high-quality student-authored articles and case notes on comparative and European law. We partner with the Sheffield Centre for International and European Law and University College Dublin Sutherland School of Law.

To extol excellent student scholarship and share high-quality articles from students throughout Europe with the wider legal community in the UK, Ireland, and beyond.

The Editorial Board is comprised of law students from across Great Britain and Ireland. Selection to the board is merit-based and highly competitive. Responsible for the selection and editing of the articles published in the review, the Board also works to promote legal writing and discourse throughout the ELSA network. The Editorial Board is assisted by the Advisory Board, a group of academics and legal professionals with whom editors liaise in selecting articles for publication.
